Teen Suicide

Disturbios-emocionais

Depression and suicidal thoughts are two of the most frightening things a person can face in their lifetime. Unfortunately, acting on those suicidal thoughts is a far too common scenario for many across the world, including students. In fact, suicide is the second-leading cause of death for those between the ages of 15 and 18.

Nowadays, whenever things aren’t working out the way you like them too, we think that if we kill ourselves all of our grievances will be over. Let it be the issue of not doing well in school or to have some sort of a financial crises at home, jumping off of the cliff or strangling ourselves from the ceiling fan seems the most easiest way will thats because its easy to give up, and to run away from your problems. But let me at least tell you this, the path thats the easiest isn’t always the best option to take. These hardships are the things that make us who we are, these are the things that make us stronger. So man up (sorry if you’re a girl. I mean it’s just a phrase) and try to solve the problem instead of running.

Life is like a game, if you have the patience you will succeed and level up one day, but if u are to give up now, how on earth will you ever learn to get through any of the obstacles that life throws at you. I am no expert but there is always a choice, it’s just that you have to trust yourself and not give up.

I hate to say this, time really does heals everything, it gives you the patience u want and then the pain starts to fade away. You have to move on in life. I know it’s easier said than done, but at least you have to try and not let your past rule your present, and destroy your future.

I know it’s a lot easier said than done because at that time you might feel trapped, isolated. But than look at the pain and terror hidden in the eyes of your loved one. I can’t even imagine what a parent must feel, to see their child going through this pain.

Just don’t let this make you someone that you don’t deserve to be, because you know what, smiling is contagious and is not really considered a crime. Plus we are only given one life so let’s make the most from it. Please just don’t give up on your dreams that you once dreamt, don’t give up on your loved ones that easily

It’s just sad how young people coming up can just give up easily in life and take their own lives. They haven’t even lived up to 1/4 of life but then they just seem to give up. I believe it’s mostly because of lack of support, but even if you lack that, the hardships are the things that make us who we are, these are the things that make us stronger like you rightly said. People just need to keep that in mind.

Unfortunately mental Heath issues do not go away by ‘maning up’. If it were that easy, they wouldn’t exist. People who take their own life are that poorly that they see no other option. They’re in a deep dark hole & can’t see a way out. It’s not that they don’t have have patience it’s that their illness has take away all reasoning & rational thought.

So whilst it’s great to raise awareness, we should also encourage others to have empathy & to truly understand what’s going on in the minds of others. Anybody can encounter mental health difficulties at any point in their lives, it does not discriminate. It’s not something that happens to ‘other people’, people less stong than us – it can happen to anyone at anytime. It’s an illness like any other & we must treat people who suffer with mental illness with the care & understanding they deserve.

I cant agree more of the comment above. I dont agree about what you wrote about being “coward” or some of the point. A depression, I am talking about real depression is not a silly heartbroken, I got my test failed or I cant go to the party kind of thing. It is a illness! You cant tell someone who has cancer, time will heal and have patience…or man it up! Depression is serious illness that kill a lot of people. I have been leaving with a “depressiv” person for 15 years now and if you truly know how they struggle you will understand how brave they are to even facing the world when inside all they feel is an emptyness. And the death is the only solution they can think about. My husband is not diagnosed with depression but something else but he gets this sadness in him now and then. He is much better now but you cant even imagine what a hard life is it for a person with a depression.

I agree with totally on that.. but in some households people tend to be busy in there own life to such an extent that they don’t notice how much that one person is in dear need of their support and care. You won’t be a coward by going into depression but you sure will be if you simply just give up and not try to resolve the issue.. I understand that people often go into depression due to some illness but in this article I am just referring to those who tend to give up so easily in life
